The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) is gearing up for the resumption of operations on April 10 as maintenance works continue during the Holy Week break.
To ensure that the rail line is ready to serve the riding public, Assistant Secretary for Railways and MRT-3 Officer-in-Charge Jorjette B. Aquino inspected the depot’s maintenance facilities on Black Saturday, April 8.
Asec. Aquino visited the light and heavy maintenance areas, train cleaning area, and the depot warehouse where trains and spare parts are maintained and kept.
The MRT-3 OIC also inspected the depot substation where preventive maintenance of power supply equipment was being done.
Together with MRT-3 technical team, Asec. Aquino also rode the crew wagon from depot to Taft Avenue station to check on the maintenance works being carried out on the mainline.
